Pelicans are exceptional creatures. Smart, beautiful and very social. Of course, as wild animals, their first priority is getting food.
In Kerkini Lake I have spent quite some time photographing birds, over several visits, all times of the year. Of them all pelicans are the most interesting.
One of those times, November 2003, I was lucky enough to find a bunch of pelicans fighting over the fish that fishermen were throwing at them. This fight of those two pelican “teens” happened just a couple of meters away from me and it was a great opportunity to picture them.
