World upside down

World upside down

The Weaver birds are building their nest upside down, as we can see in this picture. This way they avoid preditors and save their lives.
Today, the last day of 2012, it would be a good idea to try and look at things in different perspective and probably we will avoid our preditors…
This picture was taken in Durban, South Africa, in February 2008. It was a dream for me to find those birds and photograph their nests. When I found them I took more than 500 pictures of them as I find them very interesting. This one I love though as this guy is still in the process of building his nest and he is putting a lot of effort to make it as perfect as possible (in order to attract the female…)
