I was very much surprised, while visiting a part of the poor neighborhoods of Izmir, Turkey. The same in many other areas, cities and villages.
I understand the poor constructed buildings, I understand poverty and mizery…
What I do not understand is the number of the sattelite antennas (dishes) on top of the houses. Every building had at least three of them and many, a lot more!
For me the only explenation is: “Government is offering cheep TV services so that they can easily control and manipulate the masses.”
Easy, cheap, effective!
